(THUNDER BAY, ON) – One individual has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking following a traffic stop.
On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, members of the Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Bail Support Team (BST) and OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) conducted a traffic stop as part of an ongoing bail violation investigation. One individual was arrested and a subsequent search of the individual resulted in the seizure of suspected fentanyl, hydromorphone, a cell phone, and other drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation, Tyler MARION, a 41-year-old from Dryden, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
- Failure to comply with release order (2)
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on February 10, 2026.
