(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On June 23, 2024, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an intoxicated person at the ball field in Elliot Lake.
Police were called by numerous people at a Pearson Drive ball field, stating there was an intoxicated male who was being very disruptive and causing a disturbance. The male was spoken to who was displaying the obvious signs of intoxication. He was also very uncooperative and confrontational with police. When politely asked to leave, the male was argumentative and physical with police. After a short confrontation, the male was safely arrested and removed form the area.
Terence ELLIOTT, 35-years-old, from Sault Ste. Marie was charged with:
· Resist peace officer
· Being intoxicated in public place
The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on August 15, 2024.
