Teens Arrested For Murder

(NORTH BAY, ON) – Two people have been charged and the deceased identified in relation to an ongoing death investigation in Bonfield.

On Saturday, July 19, 2025, at approximately 6:45 a.m., officers from the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a residence on Trunk Road, where one person was located deceased.

The deceased has been identified as Kevin ROSE, 50 years old of Bonfield.

As a result of the investigation, Darius BOMBERRY, 18 years old of Callander, and Kyle TROTTIER, 19 years old of North Bay, have each been charged with second degree murder, contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

Both accused remain in custody pending a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

The North Bay OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance is being provided by OPP Forensic Identification Services.
