Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Mohamed Reda El Boukhari Arrested

(SOUTH GLENGARRY, ON) – The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual following the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, shortly after 8:30 a.m., officers observed a stolen white 2022 Jeep Wrangler travelling eastbound on Highway 401 in South Glengarry Township. Members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) located the vehicle and strategically followed it to the Lancaster off‑ramp.

The vehicle left the roadway near a local business and entered a ditch. The male driver fled on foot but was quickly located and arrested by officers.

The Jeep was later confirmed to have been stolen from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Mohamed Reda El Boukhari, 18-year-old of Laval, Quebec, has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 – in Canada
  • Resist peace officer
  • Possession of break‑In instruments
  • Dangerous operation

The accused is scheduled to appear in Alexandria court at a later date.
