(LOYALIST TWP., ON) – Multiple traffic complaints have led Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to an impaired driving arrest.
On Friday, October 17, 2025, concerned members of the public began calling the OPP shortly after 11:00 a.m., to report a possible impaired driver.
The initial call come in from the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in the Lansdowne area. Other calls come in as the vehicle continued westbound, in what was described as a dangerous manner.
Officers with the Leeds County, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington County Detachments all converged on the 401 in an attempt to locate the vehicle.
The car was found and stopped by officers in the Odessa area, west of Kingston.
An approved alcohol screening device was utilized, and the driver was arrested and transported to the Lennox and Addington Detachment for further testing.
As a result, Stephanie MAYNARD, age 48 of Montreal, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on November 4, 2025. The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
