(GUELPH, ON) – The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Cambridge resident with seven provincial offences.
On September 21, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., members of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit were performing a proactive traffic enforcement initiative, which resulted in a traffic stop being conducted on Stone Road West, within the City of Guelph.
As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Cambridge resident is charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:
- Red light – fail to stop
- Defective braking system
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
- Operate unsafe vehicle
- Unsafe move- lane or shoulder
- Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
- Colour coating obscuring interior
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph at a later date.
