(HAWKESBURY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Hawkesbury Detachment has charged a Hawkesbury resident following a child sexual exploitation investigation.
The investigation, supported by the Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU), resulted in a search warrant executed at a residence, and electronic devices were seized.
Kevin LESSARD, 33 years of age, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.
The accused was released after a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on March 26, 2025.
The OPP will continue to aggressively identify and pursue individuals who use technology to exploit children. Parents are reminded to take a proactive approach to help protect their children from online sexual exploitation by speaking with their children about internet safety.
