Perth Road Man, Loyalist Township Man Face Impaired and Dangerous Driving Charges #CourtBound

(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) – Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two people with impaired driving related charges.

On Sunday September 21, 2025, just after 9:00 p.m., L&A County OPP members were called after a single vehicle was involved in a collision on County Road 14 in Stone Mills Township. The vehicle was located, and following an investigation, the driver was arrested.

Matthew MCTAGUE, a 32-year-old from Perth Road, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous driving

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on October 7, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.

On Monday September 22, 2025, just after midnight, L&A County OPP initiated a vehicle stop on County Road 6 in Loyalist Township on suspicion of impairment. Following an investigation the driver was arrested.

Trevor HOMER, a 44-year-old from Loyalist Township, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Dangerous Driving

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on October 14, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.
