(CALEDON, ON) – Members of the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a shoplifting incident and arrested a suspect and laid charges for multiple criminal code offences.
On December 26, 2024, shortly after 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shoplifting incident that had just occurred at an LCBO store in Bolton. A vehicle description was provided. Upon arrival, the vehicle was located, and the suspect was arrested. The investigation revealed that the accused was in possession of a stolen vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Paramjit SANDHU, 39, of no fixed address, was charged with:
• Theft under $5000 – shoplifting – two counts
• Possession property obtained by crime over $5000
• Possession of an identify document
• Possession of a credit card
• Operation while prohibited under the criminal code
• Having care or control of vehicle with cannabis in open original packaging
• Fail to comply with probation order – three counts
The accused was held for a Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville.
