(SELWYN Township, ON) – Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual with impaired after a vehicle stop at a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program.
On Friday September 12, 2025, shortly after 8:00pm, Peterborough County OPP officers were conducting RIDE in the area of Young’s Point Road and 12th Line. A vehicle entered the RIDE program, and the driver was spoken to by an officer. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer determined them to be under the influence of alcohol, and the individual was arrested. The accused was transported to the Peterborough County OPP detachment for further testing.
Robert LEBRUN (age 57) of Woodville, ON., was arrested and charged with;
• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The accused had their driver’s licence further suspended for 90-days, and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 14, 2025.
