(LANARK HIGHLANDS, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a second person in connection with the recovery of well over $150,000 worth of stolen property.
Lanark OPP, the East Region Community Street Crime Unit and OPP Emergency Response Team executed a warrant at a residence on McDonalds Corners Road in Lanark Highlands on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
That evening, an individual attended the Lanark OPP Detachment to turn themself in.
Heather PARSONS, age 36 of Lanark Highlands, has now been charged with seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime. This accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on September 9, 2024.
An individual from Cantley, Quebec was arrested at the location in Lanark Highlands and was charged with seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime, as well as failure to comply with an undertaking. This accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on August 16, 2024.
The recovered items include three stolen vehicles, two trailers and two Kubota lawn mowers.
The investigation by Lanark County OPP, Lanark County Crime Unit and Community Street Crime Unit is continuing.
