Kakou WOGNIN – Drunk Driving

(BRANT, ON) – A driver is facing several charges after police stopped and investigated a vehicle.

On Thursday, January 15, 2026, at approximately 11 46 p.m., an officer with the Brant County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 403 West, at Oak Park Road.

As a result of investigation, police charged 27-year-old, Kakou WOGNIN of Toronto with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80
  • Failure to Comply with a Release Order – five counts
  • Possession of Identity Documents

The accused was held for Bail Court and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford.

The OPP continues to prioritize road safety through proactive enforcement and public education. Impaired driving-whether by alcohol or drugs-remains one of the leading causes of serious collisions and fatalities on Ontario roadways.
