(Hastings Highlands, ON) – Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a person following a break-and-enter investigation.
The break-and-enter occurred on June 9th, 2024 shortly after 3:00 a.m., at a business on Highway 127 in Lake Peter in the municipality of Hastings Highlands. Items taken were clothing, food, and tool items. The investigation resulted in the arrest of one person.
Michael Kinder, a 29-year-old of Highlands East, has been charged with the following criminal offences:
-Trespassing at Night;
-Break, Enter a place;
-Mischief Under $ 5,000; and
-Theft Under $5000.
The accused was held pending a bail court hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville and remains in custody.
