(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – Members of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two drivers with impaired driving offences in separate incidents overnight.
Around 9:30pm on September 10, 2025, members of the Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on a trail near the Eleventh Line in the Town of the Blue Mountains. When officers arrived, they found the driver to be impaired by alcohol, and she was placed under arrest for Impaired operation. Investigation determined that the driver’s blood alcohol level was over the legal limit. As a result, Natasha CATHCART, 19 years of age, of Collingwood has been charged with:
· Operation while Impaired – alcohol
· Operation while Impaired – 80 plus
Around 10:30pm on September 10, 2025 an officer conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle on Mountain Road, Collingwood. When the officer read the driver the Alcohol Screening Demand to the driver, he refused and was arrested for that offence. Charged is Jarden McQUEEN, 35 years of age, of the Blue Mountains has been charged with:
· Refusal to comply with Demand
Both accused have been issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension, and their vehicles have been impounded for seven days. They have been released and are required to attend Provincial Court on a future date.
