(MEAFORD, ON) – The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate following an arrest in Meaford.
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a residence in Meaford. One individual fled the scene.
Shortly before 2:00 a.m., members of the OPP Canine Unit located the individual. During the arrest, the individual was gripped by a police service dog and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
