(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) – A recent sudden death in the Municipality of Central Elgin is not being treated as suspicious.
On Sunday February 22, 2026, at approximately 12:42 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Elgin County Detachment were dispatched to a person laying on the side of the roadway on Sunset Drive in the Municipality of Central Elgin.
The Elgin County OPP Crime Unit along with the OPP Forensic Identification Services, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service have determined that the death is not suspicious, and no foul play is suspected.
