(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving a call for service for a collision.
On Wednesday October 22, 2025 at approximately 7:57 pm, officers were notified of a single vehicle collision where the vehicle was on its roof with significant damage. Officers were dispatched to Monck Road in Somerville Township. The driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving related offences.
Nicholas Dean, 27-year-old of Prince Edward County was charged with:
- Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers licence was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
