(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – An individual is facing charges following a single vehicle collision.
On September 11, 2024, at approximately 2:05 a.m., while on patrol, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle in the ditch on Haldimand Road 17, near Cayuga.
No injuries were reported.
Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent they had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old Mitchell LORD of Niagara Falls was charged with the following offences:
- Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
- Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on October 29, 2024.
