(Tay Township, ON) OPP are investigating a collision that led to impaired driving charges following an incident on Highway 400 earlier today.
On February 13, 2026, just after 2:00 p.m., officers from the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a two‑vehicle collision on Highway 400 southbound in Tay Township.
A white commercial motor vehicle was struck from behind by a black SUV. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
During the investigation, officers determined that the driver of the SUV was impaired. As a result, Matthew Noganosh, 34 years old, of Britt, Ontario, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation Over 80 milligrams
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on February 26, 2026.
