Luke CRAWFORD – Assault, Mischief

(MARMORA, ON) – One person is facing charges after a disturbance at a convenience store in Marmora.

On Wednesday October 8, 2025, shortly before 11:00 p.m., officers with the Central Hastings Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the location on Matthew Street. An individual reportedly became aggressive, and threw items at the store employee, resulting in property damage but no serious injuries. The suspect fled before officers arrived.

Officers located the individual a short time later, riding a bicycle along Highway 7. He was arrested and transported to the detachment.

As a result of the investigation, Luke CRAWFORD, age 34 of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake, has been charged with:

• Assault

• Mischief – destroy or damage property

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on November 6, 2025.
