(DRYDEN, ON) – An investigation led by the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit has led to charges being laid against a Sioux Lookout resident.
On February 28, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Dryden OPP Detachment conducted a traffic stop on Government Street in the City of Dryden.
Through investigation, officers seized a number of suspected illicit substances including cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, hydromorphone, and oxycodone. Canadian currency and other items associated with drug trafficking were also seized.
As a result, Levi WHISKEYJACK, 32-years-old, of Sioux Lookout has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – three counts
· Possession of Proceeds of Property obtain by Crime under $5,000
· Failure to Comply with Release Order – other than attend court – two counts
The accused has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on March 5, 2024.
