(ESSEX, ON) – One person has been charged after single vehicle collision Essex.
On March 11, 2026, at approximately 9:36 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a vehicle in the ditch on Ferriss Road near 5th Concession Road in the Town of Essex.
Leonard RICARD, 57-years-old of Essex was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Windsor on April 24, 2026, to answer to the charges.
