(ESPANOLA, ON) – One person is facing several charges following a series of incidents in Massey.
On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of multiple assaults involving youth that had occurred during a seasonal event in the Town of Massey. An investigation was initiated and revealed that the same individual had been involved in several disturbances at various locations throughout the Massey area.
As a result, Lance BENNETT, 39-years-old from Greater Sudbury, was charged with:
- Assault – three counts
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Causing a disturbance
- Resist peace officer
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on November 6, 2025.
