(NORTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Huron-Kinloss Township resident with impaired driving offences following a traffic complaint on January 28, 2026, in the Township of North Huron.
Just after 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, Huron County OPP officers received a complaint about a possible impaired driver that entered a ditch with their vehicle. Police located the vehicle and arrested the driver for impaired operation.
The accused provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.
Joseph SCHRAM, 39 years-of-age from Huron-Kinloss Twp, has been charged with:
– Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs,
– Operation while Impaired – Over 80,
– Dangerous Operation.
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on March 09, 2026.
