(MUNSEE-DELAWARE FIRST NATION, ON) – Single vehicle collision results in charges.
On December 18, 2025, at 3:26 p.m., members of the Oneida Nation Police and Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Thomigo Road in Munsee-Delaware First Nation for the report of a vehicle that left the road and entered the ditch.
The driver was placed under arrest at which time they became resistant and proceeded to damage a police car.
As a result, Johnathan SUMMERS-CHRISJOHN, a 23-year-old of Oneida Nation the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Dangerous operation
· Mischief – destroys or damages property
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on January 15, 2026, to speak to the charges.
The Oneida Nation Police and Middlesex OPP want to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
