(MISSISSIPPI MILLS, ON) – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Mississippi Mills Township resident with impaired driving.
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Lanark County OPP officers received a call from EMS of a vehicle in the ditch on Waba Road just before 6:30 p.m. Officers attended the scene and located the vehicle.
The driver was located a short time later at a local hospital. After speaking with the driver, he was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Arnprior for testing.
As a result of the investigation, John PROC, 43-years-old, has been charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, April 13, 2026.
The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
