(Orangeville, ON) – The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with impaired operation related offences on the first day of the new year.
On January 1, 2025, just before 8:00 p.m., officers from Dufferin OPP received a complainant of a driver asleep behind the wheel in the Town of Orangeville. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the driver, which led to an impaired operation investigation.
James NEILLY, a 34-year-old from Caledon has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired- drug
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville to answer to the charges. His driver’s licence was suspended, and vehicle impounded.
