(TILLSONBURG, ON) – Two individuals are facing charges after fleeing from a festive reduce impaired driving everywhere (RIDE) program in Tillsonburg.
On December 20, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were conducting a festive RIDE program on Broadway Street, in the Town of Tillsonburg.
A motor vehicle was observed being operated in an erratic manner where it fled the RIDE program. Officers were able to locate the vehicle a short time after where they were able to safely conduct a traffic stop.
Jamal Blenman, 24-years-old, of Hamilton, was arrested and charged with:
· Trafficking in Schedule I Substance – Opioid (Other than Heroin)
· Flight from Peace Officer
· Dangerous Operation
· Failure to Comply with Release Order (Seven counts)
The accused was held for a bail hearing and has since been remanded into custody.
Abdel-Rahman Maradqeh, 20-years-old, of Oakville, was arrested and charged with: Trafficking in Schedule I Substance – Opioid (Other than Heroin).
The accused was held for a bail hearing and has since been released from custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 20, 2025.
Police seized suspected Oxycodone, along with additional offence-related property that was seized includes a weigh scale, packaging and Canadian currency.
