Jacob HALL – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Driver charged with impaired as a result of OPP RIDE Program.

On January 1, 2026, at 1:41 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were engaged in a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Thorndale Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre.

A vehicle approached the RIDE program at which time the driver appeared to evade the officers.

The vehicle was stopped a short distance away at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex County OPP Detachment.

As a result, Jacob HALL, a 21-year-old of Embro, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

·      Operation while impaired – Alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Young driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London on January 29, 2026, to speak to the charges.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
