(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – A report of a suspicious vehicle in the Township of Norwich has resulted in numerous charges and the arrest of one individual.
On Wednesday January 29, 2025, at approximately 6:40 p.m., members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to an address on Beaconsfield Road for the report of a suspicious vehicle.
Members of the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine (K9) assisted Oxford OPP front line officers with locating and arresting one individual.
No injuries were reported.
As a result, Isaack MARTENS a 29-year-old resident of Port Burwell was charged with the following offences:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Flight From Peace Officer
- Possession of Break In Instruments
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Drive While Under Suspension
The accused is being held for a bail hearing.
