Impersonating Police Officer Leads To Arrest #FilmThePolice #FTP

(DRYDEN, ON) – One person has been charged for impersonating a peace officer in relation to a towing incident in Dryden.

On April 26, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 in the City of Machin. Through the investigation, it was learned that the towing company attending the scene was not the towing company dispatched by police.

Further investigation revealed that the attending towing company impersonated law enforcement in order to be dispatched to the scene instead of the towing company originally dispatched by police.

As a result, Sukhwinder DHESI, 41 years old of Mississauga, has been charged with personating a peace officer contrary to the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Dryden Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on January 20, 2025.
