Huron-Kinloss Resident Arrested

(KINCARDINE, ON) – Police have made an arrest in an ongoing threats investigation.

On July 15, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an altercation along Queen Street in Kincardine.

Investigation revealed that an altercation took place between two individuals in the area of Queen Street and Durham Street, Municipality of Kincardine, where one individual is alleged to have uttered threats to cause death.

Multiple tips from members of the public assisted investigators in identifying a person of interest. As a result of the investigation, police made an arrest in relation to this incident on July 17, 2025.

David RUXTON, 60-years-old, of the Township of Huron-Kinloss, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm, CC 264.1(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton on August 27, 2025, to answer to the charge.
