(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – A Fergus driver is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop yesterday.
On January 20, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a member of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit was conducting proactive traffic enforcement on Parkside Drive East and St. David Street North in Fergus, when they encountered a vehicle suspected of being operated by an impaired driver.
As a result of the investigation, Hayden JENKINS, a 36-year-old from Fergus, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on February 3, 2026.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
