Trafficking and Weapons Charges
Two adult males face drug and weapons charges after they were observed breaking into a vehicle in the downtown core of the City of Guelph on the morning of October 3rd, 2025.
At 10:25am, a witness reported seeing two males removing items from a vehicle. The two fled but were located by police a short time later attempting to hide behind a hydro transformer.
Both were arrested and during a search officers recovered quantities of suspected fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $4,700. Officers also seized digital scales, empty baggies, cash, and a collapsible baton.
A 24-year-old Guelph male and 23-year-old Guelph male are jointly charged with possessing fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking. The younger male is also charged with possessing meth for the purpose of trafficking, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of probation.
They were held in custody pending a bail hearing on October 4th. The older male was subsequently released and will appear in court on November 4th. The younger male was held in custody and will appear in court on October 6th.
Pepper Spray Discharged Outside Bar
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after pepper spray was discharged outside a downtown bar early on October 4th, 2025.
Just before 2am, police received a report of a disturbance in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. Several parties engaged in a physical altercation inside and were removed. Outside, one of the parties discharged pepper spray into the air, causing several people to feel the effects.
The suspect was described as a white male, more than six feet tall with blonde hair in a mushroom-style cut and wearing a black shirt with white stripe on the collar.

Public Report Leads To Impaired Driving Arrest
On October 4th, 2025, at 9pm, a concerned citizen contacted the Guelph Police Service regarding an impaired adult male driving a vehicle, entering the City of Guelph on York Road.
At 9:12pm, police located the vehicle driving near the intersection of Paisley Road and Edinburgh Road North, and a traffic stop was initiated.
The accused subsequently failed an Approved Screening Device roadside breath test and was arrested.
A 36-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
-Operation While Impaired
-Operation While Impaired – 80 Plus
His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days,
He will appear in court on October 17th.
