(DRUMMOND-NORTH ELMSLEY TWP, ON) – One of the drivers involved in a two-vehicle collision in Innisville, east of Perth, has now died.
Officers with the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lanark County Paramedics and Drummond-North Elmsley Firefighters responded to the collision on Thursday, December 26, 2024, shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Both of the drivers were transported to hospital. One of them, an 87-year-old woman from Carleton Place, died in hospital on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The collision was investigated by the Lanark Detachment, in conjunction with OPP Collision Reconstructionists and Technical Collision Investigation team members. That investigation found that one vehicle had pulled onto Highway-7, colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
The investigation into the collision is continuing.
