(LAKESHORE, ON)- LakeshoreOPP are investigating a fatal single motor vehicle collision in Lighthouse Cove.
On March 9, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lakeshore Fire Department and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Mariner’s Drive in the Lighthouse Cove area of the Municipality of Lakeshore.
The lone 60-year-old occupant was pronounced deceased at scene.
Members of the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) are assisting with the investigation.
As a result of the collision, Mariner’s Drive is closed.
Investigators would like to speak anyone who may have observed the vehicle prior to the collision, who observed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of the collision.
