(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – On Thursday, April 3, 2025, at approximately 11:55 pm, a member of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting general patrol in the Town of Collingwood, County of Simcoe, when an arrest was made.
While patrolling, the officer observed a male walking northbound on Walnut Street at Fifth Street. The officer recognized the male as 32-year-old Dyllan Parkin of Collingwood, who was known to have several outstanding warrants for his arrest. At 11:56 pm, the individual was arrested based on the strength of these warrants.
During the arrest, the officer discovered break-and-enter instruments commonly used to gain unauthorized entry, in the individual’s possession. Through further investigation, police were able to link the male to a theft incident that occurred at the Living Stone Resort in Collingwood on March 26, 2025.
The male was transported to the Collingwood OPP Detachment, where he was held pending a bail hearing to answer to the following charges:
· Theft Under $5000 (2 counts)
· Possession Under $5000
· Possession of Break-in Instruments
· Possession Identity Documents (Criminal Code section 56.1)
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)
· Fail to Attend Court
· Fail to Comply with Release Order (2 Counts)
