Drug Bust – Michael LOUNSBURY

(INGERSOLL, ON) – A search warrant in the Town of Ingersoll resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and the arrest of three individuals.

On February 25, 2026, at approximately 6:00 a.m., members of the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine and Brant, Middlesex and Elgin Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) assisted in an investigation led by the Oxford OPP CSCU.

There was an increased police presence, in a wooded area off Thames Street North this morning, while OPP executed the search warrant, without incident.

As a result of the investigation three individuals were arrested and jointly charged with the following offences:

Michael LOUNSBURY a 49-year-old resident of Ingersoll, Mary ROY a 47-year-old resident of Ingersoll and Kyle WELLAR a 38-year-old resident of Ingersoll have been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking -Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Psilocybin
  • Possession of a Schedule IV Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Clonazepam
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon (two counts)

LOUNSBURY was also charged with:

  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon contrary to Prohibition Order

The three accused are currently being held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
