Drug Bust – Logan McGuffin & Rosalyn Read

(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kenora have arrested two individuals which resulted in drug trafficking charges, and the seizure of controlled drug substances, Canadian currency and two conducted energy weapons.

On February 12th, 2026, members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Kenora OPP detachment, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), and the Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau (POIB) conducted a search warrant on a residence in the City of Kenora. During the search police located suspected methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, suspected hydromorphone pills, Canadian currency and two conducted energy weapons. The drugs have a combined street value of approximately $12,560.

As a result of this investigation, Logan McGuffin, 31-years-old of Kenora, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code of Canada offences:

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

·      Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous purpose

·      Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

·      Failure to comply with release order

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on the 19th of February 2026.

As a result of this investigation, Rosalyn Read, 53-years-old of Kenora, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code of Canada offences:

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

·      Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Hydromorphone

·      Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

·      Possession of Weapon for Dangerous purpose

·      Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

·      Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on the 16th of March 2026.
