Drug Bust – Lloyd VANBEVEREN

(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an individual which resulted in drug trafficking charges, and the seizure of a large amount of suspected cocaine.

On February 11th, 2026, shortly before 2:00 a.m., members of the Kenora OPP detachment conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for a Highway Traffic offence. Police observed cannabis packaging inside the vehicle and conducted a search under the Cannabis Control Act. During the search, police located and seized 393.58g of suspected crack cocaine, and 80.55g of suspected cocaine. The seized drugs have a combined street value of approximately $47,413.

As a result of this investigation, Lloyd VANBEVEREN, 35-years-old of Winnipeg, MB has been arrested and charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offence:

·      Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Further to this, the accused was charges with the following Highway Traffic Act offence:

·      Speeding 1 – 49 km/h over posted limit

·      Driver fail to surrender licence

The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on the 11th of February 2026.
