Drug Bust – Joseph CAMERON & Amy VILLENEUVE

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – Suspicious vehicle leads to multiple charges for driver and passenger.

On December 17, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., members of the Oneida Nation Police were dispatched to Iroquois Road in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, for the report of a suspicious vehicle. 

Reports indicated the vehicle was stationary on the roadway with two occupants believed to be unconscious.

Members of the Oneida Nation Paramedic Service along with members of the Oneida Nation Police arrived on scene at which time the driver was placed under arrest.

The vehicle had previously been reported stolen out of the City of London.

A large quantity of illicit drugs, suspected to be fentanyl, methamphetamine and pills were located and seized from within the vehicle. 

The driver, Joseph CAMERON, a 22-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada

·      Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration

·      Dangerous operation

·      Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin) (two counts)

·      Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

The passenger, Amy VILLENEUVE, a 39-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with:

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada

·      Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin) (two counts)

·      Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

The accused were both held for bail.
