(LEAMINGTON, ON) – One Leamington resident has been charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation led by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex County Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., members of the Essex County OPP CSCU, with support from the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine Unit, and Lambton OPP CSCU, executed a search warrant of a residence in the Municipality of Leamington.
The execution of the warrant led to the seizure of suspected cocaine, suspected fentanyl, and suspect methamphetamines.
As a result, Jesse-Lee BUTT, a 35-year-old of Leamington was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamines
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada
The accused was held in custody and appeared for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.
