(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – The Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Highway 24 and Colborne Street West, in the late hours of September 22, 2025.
At approximately 9:04 p.m., emergency services responded to the scene where two vehicles, a motorcycle and a motor vehicle collided, sending the driver of the motorcycle airborne 20 feet before coming to rest on the roadway.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 41-year-old male, had been disqualified from driving on three previous occasions and was driving a stolen motorcycle. The driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision. The driver of the motorcycle was subsequently charged with:
- Operation While Prohibited X 4
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Over $5000.00
Highway 24 south bound lanes remained open while the north bound lanes north of Highway 24 were closed during the investigation and road clean up. The investigation is on going.
