(POINT EDWARD, ON) – A traffic complaint has led to an individual being arrested for impaired driving in the Village of Point Edward.
On February 15, 2026, just after 2:00 p.m., members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver on Michigan Avenue.
As a result of the investigation, David MORRIS, a 59-year-old of Guelph, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Driving while under suspension
A seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on March 31, 2026, in Sarnia.
