David LEMIEUX – Drunk Driving

(LONDON, ON) – Driver facing Impaired charge after traffic stop.

On March 24, 2026, at 10:59 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Highbury Avenue in the City of London, observed a suspicious vehicle travelling in the same direction.

A traffic stop was initiated at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, David LEMIEUX, a 56-year-old of Etobicoke has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on May 20, 2026.

The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
