(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an individual which resulted in numerous firearm offences, and the seizure of a prohibited firearm.
On February 4th, 2026, shortly after 9:00 p.m., members of the Kenora OPP attended a call for service involving a suspect with a firearm in the area of Cambrian Drive in the City of Kenora. Police located the male with a loaded firearm, and after a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody.
As a result of this investigation, Cintiro LOON, 21-years-old of Kenora, ON has been arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
· Fail to comply with probation order x2
· Failure to comply with release order
· Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
· Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition
· Carrying concealed weapon
· Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
· Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
· Obstruct Peace Officer
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on the 5th of February 2026.
