Assault With Weapon – Dillon BURKE

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – An individual has been charged following an assault investigation in Simcoe.

At approximately 11:39 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a disturbance on Water Street in Simcoe, Norfolk County.

It was determined that a group of individuals interacted in the area, during which one person brandished a weapon and made threats. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported.

Officers located the suspect on Pond Street in Simcoe and took them into custody without incident.

27-year-old Dillon BURKE from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

• Assault with a weapon,
• Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
