Ashley RICHARD – Impaired Driving

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On September 29^th, 2024 at approximately 8:06 p.m., officers from the Thunder Bay & Shabaqua Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for service regarding a motor vehicle collision along Highway 588, near Blaikie Road, within the Township of O’Connor.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver involved in the motor vehicle collision had been consuming alcoholic beverages, was placed under arrest & further testing was administered.

As a result of the investigation, Ashley RICHARD, 39, of Thunder Bay, was charged with:

• Dangerous Operation;
• Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs;
• Failure or refusal to comply with demand;

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on November 27^th, 2024.
