Ashley ANDERSON Was Arrested

(NORTH BAY) – A North Bay resident is facing multiple charges after an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer located a driver who appeared to be slouched over inside a parked vehicle on Fraser Street.

On Sunday, February 15, 2026, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a member of the North Bay OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team observed a parked vehicle with smoke coming from inside. Officers approached and observed cannabis joints in the vehicle. The items were seized, and the driver was arrested for impaired operation before being transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Ashley ANDERSON, 42 years of age, of North Bay, has been charged with:

·        Operation while impaired – drug

·        Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration

·        Have care and control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available

·        Fail to surrender insurance card

·        Drive motor vehicle, no validation on plate

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on March 17, 2026. The driver was also issued a 90‑day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The OPP remains committed to ensuring our roads are safe from drug-impaired and alcohol-impaired drivers.
