(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – One individual is facing charges following an attempted robbery investigation in Simcoe.
On Thursday, February 26, 2026, at approximately 6:10 a.m., members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with support from the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, responded to a report of an attempted robbery at a business on Queensway West in Simcoe.
The investigation determined that shortly after 6:00 a.m., a female suspect entered the business, demanded money from an employee while brandishing a weapon, and attempted to steal merchandise. The attempt was unsuccessful, and the suspect fled the scene on foot.
Officers subsequently located the suspect at a residence on Queen Street North in Simcoe and took the individual into custody without incident.
As a result, 25-year-old Sasha SULLIVAN of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Robbery with violence,
- Assault with a weapon,
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose,
- Carrying concealed weapon,
- Disguise with intent,
- Mischief – renders property dangerous, useless, inoperative or ineffective.
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Friday, February 27, 2026.
